I took some time today to clean our water troughs. Two especially looked like they were in desperate need of attention. I hadn't cleaned either in a while, since we haven't kept any cattle where these troughs are. (The stuff that you see floating in the photos below is algae.)
It's supposed to be a Livestock Water Trough ....
... not an Algae Growing Tank.

I drain the trough, scrub the bottom and sides clean with bleach, and let it bake in the hot Texas sun for a while.

Then they're ready for filling. The cattle love clean, fresh water.
