Fertilizer Day

Every year, our soil consultant, Mr. Glenn Aubrey, comes out to the farm to take soil samples. He sends these off to a lab for analysis, and gives us the recommended fertilizer for our pastures. With rain predicted for tomorrow and Monday (March 7 and 8), we thought it would be best to get our winter pastures fertilized today.

This should give our crimson clover and ryegrass a much-needed boost! It will be interesting to see what the pastures will look like in two to three weeks.
