Jim Russell's Hay & Sprig Farm delivered 63 square bales of prairie grass hay this morning for Brian's cattle. Jim Russell's grandson, Jarrett, trucked in the hay in this semi.
Jarrett parked his truck on the county road in front of Aurora Farm and Jim Shipman and I used our tractors to unload the bales. Each bale weighs approximately 800 pounds. With a bigger tractor (and much skill and experience), Jim was able to move two bales at a time, while I could only do one.

It took us exactly an hour and a half to unload and stack the hay. Including the nine bales that were left over from the batch we bought earlier this week, Lori counted a total of 72 bales after we were done (click picture below to enlarge).
