The "mule" is an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) that serves as our workhorse around the farm. We use it to carry people and things - tools, pails, feed, medicines, etc.
The one on the photo below is Jim's mule -- it's a Kubota RTV-900 and he taught me how to drive it on Sep. 24, before he left for vacation. I've been able to check the fences and the cattle at both JLOR Farm (Jim and Lori's farm across the road) and Aurora Farm (ours) daily because of this beautiful piece of engineering.
It sure beats using a burro! Someday, we hope to be able to buy one, too.
