No If's or And's

.
One of the farm chores that I both liked (when it was sunny) and disliked (when it was cold, wet and windy) was putting out hay. Now that it's spring, I don't have to do it frequently, since the pasture grass has sprung up and is growing nicely. Too, Brian has taken back one set of his cows and we only have his 20 heifers to tend to.
.
The photos below remind me that although we had a long, wet, and cold winter, I really did enjoy taking out my tractor -- especially when Ken was around -- and putting out hay when it was warm and sunny. It was also much more pleasant when Jim and I put out the hay together, than when either of us did it by ourselves -- it made it easier that one of us would open and close gates and cut the hay strings while the other drove the tractor and gathered the cut string.
.
It was also gratifying to see the cows mob the hay when it was delivered into their hay racks. (Click photos to enlarge)

Here's a close-up shot of what happens around the hay racks when we refill it with fresh hay. The cows just love that bluestem prairie grass and mob it!

No If's or And's... Just .... (well, you know)
