Warmth

.
I built a fire this evening and for the first time, used the woodburning fireplace that Jim and Lori had installed when they built the home in 2002. The fireplace comes with a built-in, thermostat-controlled fan that blows hot air from the firebox into the house. It can heat up to 2,500 square feet of space, and with a maximum burning time of 10 hours, can be run overnight with the right amount of wood. A catalytic combustor keeps unwanted emissions very low.

The wood used here was from the oak tree that Joel and Phil cut down, and also from the stack that I bought last October.

.
He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak... then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself. (from Isaiah 44)
