Views From The Swing

.
The following pictures were taken late this afternoon. This swing is hanging from a branch of that big oak tree on the left. It is near the entrance gate of our home. Behind it is the county road, and the bales of hay farther back are part of JLOR Farm.

Our home (below) is directly in front of the swing. You'll notice the sky is becoming overcast -- rain was in the forecast for tonite. We had some, though only briefly.

This next photo shows the view to the left of the swing. That's the entrance gate on the foreground. There's the pickup we bought from Frank and Karen last year. It made its 1,603-mile, trouble-free journey from California on September 22. The tractor and trailer are Jim's.

And here's the view to the right. That's "Boomer", Jim's and Lori's dog. He's staying with us while they are on vacation.

I didn't think that we would ever be able to live in a place this beautiful and serene. A wood swing hanging from an oak tree, gorgeous scenery, a quiet county road, postcard-perfect days.
It's not because we deserve it, it's because He (God) is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20) !!
