Hola!

. Joshua & Li'l Red
.
We have some overgrown winter grass next to the fence surrounding our yard that the mower blades can't reach. For several afternoons now, I've been cutting them with my pocket knife and have been able to harvest several bunches of ryegrass and clover.

I hand feed these to our cows and calves. It's an opportunity to let them become familiar with and trust me, and makes it easier in the future to handle and move them around gently when I need to. So, when I walk out onto the pasture, like this morning, they gather around -- even the calves, who are more cautious than the cows.
