A Tough Trough To Crack

.
On Saturday, 1/9/10, we found all our water troughs had frozen overnight. Our pond had frozen over as well, so Ken and I suspected that Jim and Lori's troughs and pond at JLOR Farm were frozen, too.
.
The ice on the JLOR water trough in the picture below was the thickest, since it had not been broken the day before (there was no need to, as the pond wasn't frozen then, and the cattle could drink from the pond).

.
Here's Ken, "The Iceman", working the trough.

.
He did a good job with the maul!
