Taking a Leak

... and fixing it.

Jim noticed that the ground near the gate leading to the pasture stayed wet despite the dry weather. He suspected that an underground water pipe had sprung a leak. (Click photos to enlarge)

So I asked Sam St. Romain, our neighborhood all-around, everything-man, to come and take a look at it. He was convinced that it was a pipe leak. So he brought his tractor and scraped a few inches of dirt off the ground.

Then, he and another neighbor, Chuck Honeycutt, started shoveling the dirt until they found the culprit pipe.

They found it....

... and got it fixed quick!
